Gran Malinalco was born from a story that started long before the first wedding.
This project grew naturally out of Camper Club Malinalco, a private hotel that’s been around for over 15 years in Malinalco, State of Mexico. Over the years, the property became a gathering spot for meaningful experiences: school camps, spiritual and religious retreats, corporate events, and celebrations that all had one thing in common—connection with nature.
As the facilities grew and social celebrations became bigger, there was a need for a more specialized format. That’s how Gran Malinalco came to be: a brand dedicated to managing the event venue, handling hotel operations during large celebrations, and creating memorable social experiences, with a main focus on destination weddings close to Mexico City.
Even though they share the same property, Gran Malinalco and Camper Club Malinalco operate with different goals. Gran Malinalco specializes in carefully planned weddings and social events, where every detail matters and every celebration is one-of-a-kind.
Our event ballroom, with capacity for over 300 people, and the chapel, with capacity for over 200 people, blend naturally into the surroundings, allowing for elegant, authentic celebrations surrounded by the landscapes that make Malinalco so special. Here, weddings aren’t just events—they’re full weekend getaways filled with time together, celebration, and memories shared with family and friends.
